Located on the sunrise side of the Gulf of Thailand,
Hua Hin is a quiet relaxed coastal towns, perfect for
family vacations. Hua Hin beach is well know for its
spectacular sunrises.
Hua Hin beach is newer overcrowded and you can always
find a quiet little spot. The white sand makes it one of
the best beach streaches in on the Gulf of Thailand. The
beach is wide and long with white sand and scattering
rocks in some area. Dotted along the
beach are some great restaurants where you can enjoy
local seafood. The beach does though cater for a growing
expatriate community and the area hosts an increasing
number of foreign restaurants and bars.
Hua Hin has one of the lowest rain falls in
Thailand and being a coastal town gets that lovely sea
breeze, so can be visited all year round.
Hua Hin is Thailand's oldest beach town
resort. Situated on the west coast of the Gulf of Thailand and only
200 kilometers from the capital, Bangkok, it offers the ultimate
getaway destination for the city's elite. Hua Hin became popular
with the Royal Family following the construction of the southern
railway in the 1920's, travel became more accessible and a demand
for luxury resorts and hotels grew. The first of these was the
Railway Hotel which is now the Sofitel Central, still one of Hua
Hin's most popular hotels.
Getting around is easy as the centre of town is very
concentrated and it is possible to explore the heart by foot.
Whether you're staying at one of the up-market hotels, a guesthouse
or in accommodation slighly further afield, you're unlikely to be
more than a few kilometres away from the major banks, the Post
Office and other facilities that are associated with a tourist
destination. |
