Sea of Fog and Beautiful Flower Blossom on Phu Ruea is held on the ground in front of Phu Ruea District Office during the New Year Festival. Activities in the festival comprise of a temperate plant fair, floral float parade, temperate flowers and decorative plants contests, Mae Khaning evening party, dances in the winter breeze, and Phu Ruea agricultural produce for sale. 

The Royal Flora Ratchaphruek

Where: The Royal Park Ratchaphreuk, Chiang Mai
This festival held for reducing global warming to save planet earth and to improve the quality of life. The theme will be convened from the concept of 3Gs (Generation, Garden, Greenitude) and 3Rs (Reuse, Reduce, Recylcle) Which has been conceptualized to educate the children and the youth who are the future of the country to love and care for nature. 

Bor Sang Umbrella and Sankampaeng Handicraft Festival
When: 21 - 23 January 2011
Where: San Kamphaeng District, Chiang Mai
This 3-day fair. The houses and shops along the road are colourfully decorated in Lanna style and the illuminated with handmade lanterns. Umbrellas are craftily painted and brought to adorn the houses. There is a car parade displaying decorated umbrellas, handicraft competition, handicraft stalls, traditional performances and other forms of entertainment. 

Chiang Rai Flower Festival

Where: Suan Mai Ngam Park, on the bank of Kok River
The colourful flowers of various kinds are on display in Chiang Rai amidst the breezy atmosphere of Kok River, near Chaloem Prakiat Bridge. The stars of the festival are tulips and Lilies. There are also beauty pageant, flower processions, flower gardens, Lanna cultural performances as well as evening food market. A number of flower and plant stalls offer their products at reasonable prices.
